Sheffield's Great War New LogoWelcome to Sheffield’s Great War.

On the centenary of the end of the First World War and in aid of the British Legion, join us for a series of short talks which will take you on a journey from the outbreak of war in 1914 to armistice day in 1918.

Hosted by 6 local researchers, writers, academics, historians, and enthusiasts, we will explore topics including; the Zeppelin Air Raid, Sheffield PALS Battalion, hospitals of Sheffield, women’s work, and rural Sheffield. All ages are welcome, with all profits from the event being donated to the British Legion.
